Krazy Kraut made its public debut in 2012 at a small farmer's market in Worthington, Ohio. While today you can find our jars on grocery store shelves across Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania, you can still enjoy the delicious taste of certified organic vegetables—grown mostly by small farmers around Ohio—in each jar.

Today, Krazy Kraut is owned by Michael Jones who purchased the company in 2017. A trained chef with a degree in Health Education from the School of Public Health at UNC-Chapel Hill, Michael has long had an interest in food and its impact on the health of our communities, our economy and our planet. In 2008, he co-founded Local Matters, a Columbus, Ohio not-for-profit focused on helping children and families make healthful food choices and get delicious, affordable meals on the table no matter their budget. He also helped organize Great River Organics, a certified organic, farmer-owned cooperative back in 2014. For him, Krazy Kraut is a perfect marriage of healthy food and economic support of local, organic farms.
